no strings attached, no asterisks, no exclusions or exceptions. everybody belongs, everybody gets what they need. civilization is not a paradox of triage, in which some get what they need and others must suffer because of it, we do not live any longer in a zero-sum world. scarcity is more often enforced than it is natural. to ask for a world without poverty is not asking the impossible, it is merely asking that we abandon a system of structuring our society that is based on greed and little else.

the whole thing reads as outrage marketing to me. to the uninformed, that's the tactic of purposefully being outrageous, then rescinding it with a public apology so consumers feel like purchasing that product is positive reinforcement for the company. why give them the time of day and press coverage when they've made it clear that their views haven't changed and that the whole "0 tolerance policy" and donation to an lgbt rights organization is just a PR act

i must say there's one thing i disagree with some of the fediverse on: white culture exists

because for the love of god, nobody else needs to be blamed for gender reveal parties (for the puppy you're adopting), cargo shorts, made in china novelty dreamcatchers with confederate flags in the middle, and "salads" that consist of unrelated foods stuck together with mayonnaise.
