@pnathan i guess i didn't learn rails at the rails course at university then

mastodon source code needs a map and i doubt anyone has written one

Show thread

i wish the mastodon codebase wasn't so fucking ludicrously huge and messy so that it would actually be possible to contribute to it

Show thread

mastodon needs a way to better indicate when a toot is part of a thread

it might as well be running the game twice

it's uh, very... very DEMANDING...

Show thread

oh gods "resource intensive" reminded me of an old inside joke in a circle i used to belong to, "extremely demanding on the hardware"

and now i'm having flashbacks

@InspectorCaracal issue tracker, mostly

which you can get with gitea which is less resource intensive

still, i'll wait to see if/when we get more patrons to upgrade linode

as the current dollar exchange rate is getting higher here, doubling the server cost out of pocket will be unsustainable for me atm

Show thread

ok looks like gitea would work since it needs only about 1gb of ram, plus i want a full website thing with issues and stuff just like github, not just a repository server

Show thread

i want to host my own gitlab but it takes 4gb by itself and i wanted to run it alongside mastodon in a single linode (currently 2gb, planning to upgrade to 4gb if we get more patrons)

what else is there

yo im a robot who's also trans and lesbian, somehow

i love it

@loki oh uhh i just put both flags on top of each other in krita and then applied a transparency layer on one of them
