what's a good drawing OS to put on the X61t

should i just go for windows 7

.. can a 2009 core 2 duo with 2gb ram handle windows 10

looks like wayland isn't ready for primetime with wacom tablet screens huh

@troubleMoney yeah i did, and also the liveusb didn't recognize the stylus, only the tablet, in the settings, now it sees both and lets me change stylus settings (pressure, buttons, etc)

@troubleMoney hhhhh

like, it works fine

but it's VERY SLIGHTLY wobbly for traces in krita and quick traces between lagged frames makes it do a straight line point a to b (like the mastodon doodle pad does sometimes)

all issues that didn't happen on the 17.10 liveusb alone, only after i installed it onto the hdd

@MightyPork@dev.glitch.social i dont even think it was older packages i think it was non existing packages in the liveusb altogether

@MightyPork@dev.glitch.social i

guess??? but id have to update eventually yeah?

Xperia keyboard has no way to turn off "capitalize first letter always". Heck this

@MightyPork@dev.glitch.social yeah just. How 2 rollback

@rainwarrior need to find where to do that on ubuntu (i'm sure i can find it, just haven't looked)

if anyone's got a solution for me please let me know, otherwise i'll just ditch linux and try windows 7 on this thing instead

more on ui cursor lockup glitch: sometimes, haven't been able to figure out what causes it, after i use the stylus on the screen, i'll become unable to click on any windows with either the trackpoint or stylus, only on the system ui like taskbar and the top bar. also using the stylus now (install vs. liveusb) causes it to have a new cursor and the trackpoint cursor stays there and i can still move it independently with the trackpoint.

is there a way to figure out why the liveusb worked better?

hey so, thinkpad x61t

i'm running ubuntu 17.10 on it, the liveusb ran wonderfully, it detected a wacom tablet with no stylus but the tablet bit had settings, and krita worked wonderfully

after getting hdd working and installing 17.10 instead of using it live, the wacom tablet now detects both stylus and tablet and gives me more options, but now fast traces get lagged into straight lines in krita or get wobbly like they weren't before, plus other ui cursor locking glitches

how do i fix this?

@shekkiesqueaks my phone won't focus close enough to show but it's like

you know how subpixel rendering works by using the lcd rgb order to hint smoother fonts

imagine it used the color sequence wrong

oh god aaaahh if you use the button on the ThinkPad to rotate the screen the subpixel hinting gets messed up computerfairi.es/media/h1Km68i
