@troubleMoney we were originally on DO but a similar config is twice the cost on their service, i pay $10/mo for 2gb ram on linode

money?

i wanna buy some more stuff for myself but i think i should save my money?

but then again i also got a bit of cash for christmas, so..

namely, i'm looking at 2 things from aliexpress: a 35cm squirrel plushie for $14 and a acorn necklace pendant for $4 both rounded up with shipping

money (~)

at the very least i do have my paypal set up so i can cash out to my bank account so anything i get there actually does help but i need a more stable income

i'm spending about $16+/mo on computer fairies out of my credit card, which incurs extra fees because currency conversion, international purchase, and other bank taxes :/

i wish i could just use paypal for linode and aws

@Trev@icosahedron.website be good to yourself, trev <3

@troubleMoney well i found a single supplier i could buy some stuff from, bought the audio amp, plus an arduino nano and a level converter so i can use some ESP modules i bought a long time ago, instead of dividing between several suppliers

hopefully everything gets here

@troubleMoney Sure if I wanna wait 2 months to see if I'll get the order or if I should try ordering again and waiting another 2 months

@troubleMoney the problem is that anything in module/kit form i want to buy would have to be imported

things are several times more expensive to me than the average person because i don't live in north america

and moving to north america is impossible because that is, also, prohibitively expensive

it's a catch-22

at least modding a pocketchip that i already have is cheaper than building a full cyberdeck with an expensive raspberry pi but it also feels less legitimate in the cyberdeck department

literally 90% of my anxiety and stress today is because of money isn't it

i want to mod my pocketchip to make it less standard but idk what to do with it and electronics cost money

like i guess built in audio would be nice

tfw you like a thing and then someone laughs at it and says it's bad and you're just left wondering exactly why
