so the resistor i suspected is measuring closer to the value it's supposed to be today, yet when i accidentally scraped it a bit it looked like it had some thermal damage (coating came right off)

i'm not so sure that alone is causing the issues in this psu or even if the psu alone is causing the issues in the monitor

i kinda want to go get more replacement components and keep swapping things out until it works but i'm kinda lazy to go out today and it seems like it's going to rain soon
