@maple again?

bloody hell people are really unobservant around here

@maple hey if you're going to give a me nice shiny admin hat I might as well earn my keep

Linux question

@kitten I think if you go straight to the /etc/passwd file it's possible

you'll want to set the UID, the GID, and directory to the same values as the original account and then the username and password to whatever you want

so basically add the line "name:*:<original-UID>:<original-GID>:username:<original-home-directory>:shell"

then set the new password with passwd and log in

IT IS THE ELEVENTH OF NO-FUCKING-VEMBER AND THE COCA-COLA CHRISTMAS ADVERTS ARE ALREADY ON TV

@maple I'm not entirely sure what any of those numbers mean, but they look big

@noelle just wait until I show them my cool invention that allows you to easily move heavy things along the ground due to a interesting bit of geometry!

(the wheel, I've reinvented the wheel)

@TheGibson Brando

after the little barrels of brandy that St. Bernards never carried while they were doing search and rescue

@InspectorCaracal @GwenfarsGarden@sunbeam.city aaaahhhh, I parsed the "This is the only part that requires attention: do not walk away from the stove" as referring to the bit that followed, not the bit before

Damn English language and it being so easily parsed incorrectly

my big knob

@natalie@masto.ninja 10/10, would love to play with that knob
