Present wrapping tip: save money, time, and effort by wrapping gifts to people in brown paper no matter what the occasion

You don't have to go and buy <event> themed wrapping paper, it's cheap, thicker than the standard wrapping paper, more forgiving when you mess up, and it comes in massive rolls so one order will get you enough paper for the next decade

Also if you use it with brown masking tape and brown card labels it looks like you're going for a theme rather than just being a lazy sod

@Jo massive overkill

I think the standard issue for DIY keyboards is still the teensy, then again pi zeroes are so cheap you're not spending much more

@qonnyr I'll admit, this news story does make less sense than usual

As far as we're aware eugen hasn't sent any of his own hair to a rapper in order for them to make him a protective amulet so... uh... guess that goes in the Twitter/Mastodon comparison lists

"Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey sent beard shavings to Azealia Banks so she could make an amulet to protect him from ISIS"

nme.com/news/music/twitter-ceo

This is an article that exists

Because of course that fucking happened

@maple that was one nice shiny chonkulator right there, nice work!

@codl the most important thing is that we're safe from William Shatner

@soft_chomps@glitch.social "screw you you fucking dinghy!"

turns out they work as insults as well

@natalie@masto.ninja oh yeah, these are just the plain boring ones

@natalie@masto.ninja was wrong about it being 600, it's only 300, which is still ridiculously bright

@natalie@masto.ninja just a cheap 12v power supply, needs about 40W so one of those ones that looks like it's for laptops

haven't tested it with a power meter or anything but I'm assuming it's not too much
