@halcy I mean, technically they can, they just have to face the obvious consequences afterwards
watch nerdery
I can see why they've done that with them moving it to the Seiko 5 line but still, bit disappointing
It seems to use mostly the same external parts though, same midcase, bezel looks the same, so hopefully existing aftermarket parts will work with the new model and there's the possibility that aftermarket solid casebacks could bump the WR back up to 200m
(3/3)
watch nerdery
It's got the same dimensions and overall shape but it's had a fair few changes, the movement is now a 4R36 which is a very nice improvement over the 7S26, it now comes with a display caseback, but the water resistance has now dropped to 100m and it's probably going to lose the ISO rating which utterly sucks
(I lied, 2/3)

According to everything I can find Seiko have discontinued the SKX007, possibly the best dive watch in the <$250 range and a beloved favourite of watch enthusiasts everywhere
So we were all wondering what the replacement would be, and there's a leak that looks legit

@TheGibson @natecull one of three scenarios, both is just as likely as either of those alone
@TheGibson bloody "eunomia", named after the greek goddess of law and legislation, far too on the nose
hell, look at the amount of stick we gave you for merely talking to the cops (and still do you damn fed), I'm half expecting a big stake with dry straw around it ready for eugen on this one
@TheGibson I can't think of a better project name to be mentioned in the opening narration of a low-budget dystopian sci-fi flick
"They called it Project EUNOMIA, designed to bring truth to the internet..."
@InspectorCaracal surely it's "GET OFF MY LAN"
@vantablack if it is then it's the part when the writing team fucked off early on a friday
Really, "eunomia"? Greek goddess of law and legislation? Make it a little less obvious than that lads
@vantablack in regards to around here it's an EU government-backed project purporting to "try to make it easier for people to filter through misinformation online" or some shit but looks a lot more like something far sketchier
eugen's working for them
@paulfree14 okay, yeah, but you don't come out and just say all that stuff in the project name!
obfuscate it a bit! make it a little less obvious that this is what it's designed to do!
unless they're trying to just be utterly transparent villains
this temporal continuity continues to have really shitty writing, can we move to the timeline with better writing staff already?
selfie, ec
@maple @modernmodron 11/10 execution of that look
@bryn blobby lewd is going to haunt my nightmares for months now I hope you're happy
@bryn oh jesus fuck no
@maple you lesbun!
y'know what? I know I said it was irrelevant but I'm gonna talk about it anyway
Eunomia was a minor greek goddess of law and legislation
Meaning it's basically called ProjectLAW
As if "They called it ProjectLAW, designed to bring truth to the internet..." isn't part of the intro narration to a low-budget dystopian sci-fi flick
