@tom so annoyed it was john that got that gig

I would have been a much better cgi floating octopus

@mplouffe@scholar.social I can see where the money's going on this one, it's a very custom module designed and handmade in-house and they only made 13 of them

that being said I'm not sure I can see why the money's going on that one

still on the subject of halloween watches, there's... this

The Konstantin Chaykin Joker Halloween

You tell the time with the eyes, the pupils line up with the markings around them, hours on the left, minutes on the right and then a moonphase in the mouth

This one cost 25 grand

Yes, that is ridiculous

@codl the image shows the time's at 2 o'clock, you can see the transition line there

@codl HYT have a thing for displaying the time with liquid, the outline of the skull you can see is a small tube, there's two reservoirs of fluid in the back, one coloured, one transparent, they don't mix

The movement pushes more or less of each into the tube in the front so the transition line between the fluids lines up with an hour marking

No minute hand on this one, but usually they'd do that with one hand in the middle

it is now spooky month

*throws sheet over self to look like a ghost*

am now spooktopus

@mavica such a good bot

also dj chicken trouble is super cool as well!

@TheGibson eh, just lean into it

wear a pinstripe suit to the meeting and put on a really bad new york accent

@sydneyfalk when they offer you a "solution" they're actually planning to dissolve all your stuff in water

@revolverocelot ooh, shiny

if you want to be a pedant to the guides there tell them about Dave Scott's Bulova chronograph that he wore on the moon during Apollo 15, the speedmaster wasn't the only watch that made it up there
