@blackle@dev.glitch.social speaking of light speed delay, ibiblio.org/harris/500milemail

one of my favourite stories

Just remembered something that I'm slightly sad isn't still as much of a thing, sampler albums

Used to be that a music label (typically the small indie type) would put out an album with a song or two from all of their artists on

Was a great way to find new bands

@squirrel actually I think I may have just reinvented the sampler album

@squirrel YES! CDs with a couple of tracks on and if you like it you send $money to a PO Box and they send you the rest of the album!

@squirrel okay, 256M seems reasonable for that, so it's probably not the shared graphics memory bit that's the issue

no idea what's going on there

@squirrel considering the BIOS and memtest can see it I can only think that linux is giving that memory to some device or other

graphics is the usual suspect, if you do "lspci -v" it'll show you all the devices and how much RAM each of them is taking

Hot Potter Take

@Jo it would have been over a lot quicker if they just found some muggle to pop a cap in voldy's ass from half a mile away

Deadpool stuff and everything that usually entails

Deadpool 2 trailer

youtube.com/watch?v=D86Rtevtfr

It's a Deadpool trailer, does what it says on the tin

@mulander it's entirely a joke, there's no actual personal information involved

motorcycle, scooter

@alice@elekk.xyz probably better than my description of it as a "two-wheeled vrummmmy thing"

@squirrel as an octopus I don't have a tongue, so I'll call on you to mlem on my behalf

@MightyPork@dev.glitch.social It's also drop resistant and 200m water resistant so a lot of that is for protecting the watch

And I'm not going to begrudge them a bit of flash, they've really knocked it out of the park on this one
