@Eweish i keep trying to think of cool swarm critters but i know the truth and the truth is

i'm bear

delightfully, at 325 lbs with the weight range of sloth bears going up to around 310, i am a Big But Not Alarmingly Over-Large Bear (or maybe like. two black bears, depending)

@maple oh my god i feel like i've just been enlightened to a powerful worldly truth

also here is a stolen meme, for all y'all sapphics and wuluhws out there

i will be happy to make additional matching bedazzled she-wees for anyone else to go piss on his grave

if you have plumbing where she-wees are not needed, i would be happy to bedazzle you some sort of... sleeve? ruffle? collar? don't worry tho i'll make sure it's lined so you don't get unfortunate chafing

will also do bedazzled tp holder for those who do not think piss is enough

we're all in this together after all

Show thread

will i get a chance to actually punch james watson (number one motherfucker on my 'punch on sight' list)? probably not at this point

however catch me bedazzling a she-wee so i can go piss on his grave after doing the macarena on it

every time i see a joke, meme, and so on along the lines of "what did watson and crick discover? ....rosalind franklin's notes." my crops are watered, my skin clears, and five dollars is deducted from my student loan balance

@Anarkat (and honestly it's the sam vimes boots theory of economic fairness at work a bit, but eshakti makes great wardrobe builder pieces. totally worth saving up for.)

@Anarkat honestly i may be over the top evangelical about eshakti but like.

it's quality shit. custom made. you can choose the length, you can choose the sleeve type, you can choose the neckline... AND IT HAS POCKETS. BIG POCKETS!

and they're honestly not super expensive. yes, fast fashion does it cheaper, but if i want a nice dress i can go to macy's and be frustrated to tears and still get something for 70 dollars... or.... i can go to eshakti and get something that WORKS for 70 bucks.

I'M SORRY EVERYONE I'M JUST REALLY ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT PRETTY DRESSES FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTS THEM....

having a dress that ACTUALLY FITS was my lifechanging moment of "oh shit... fashion is a thing I CAN PARTICIPATE IN TOO instead of just watching sadly"

also

eshakti dresses

have

pockets.

anyway sweetdisabled.com/sweetdisable is the more thorough love letter i wrote to them, 10/10 highly recommend go get yourself a kickass pretty dress

@polychrome eshakti is fucking quality as well, i have a dress from them that's been just keeping on keeping on for like... fuck, 6 years at least? 7 years? i swear to god that cotton is like the cast iron of dresses. its embroidery is only now starting to show the occasional loose bit but otherwise, it's the fucking same.

totally rec them hands-down. they do custom sizes too for like 10 bucks (covered in the same fee for changing neckline, hemline/length, sleeve type, etc.)

@polychrome the good thing about lacemarket is that you're buying from (usually western/english-speaking, if not american etc.) people, so they'll be up-front with "it fit me and here's my vague measurements/it has shirring" etc.

the other oddball idea to put in your hat - eshakti is not lolita. but they do a lot of a-line dresses with customizeable necklines that i think you can *make* into casual lolita, especially if you're comfortable sewing on some lace after.

@polychrome god yeah that's the big problem. navigating taobao on your own can be really tricky, which is why i've been just sticking to lolitawardrobe for now (though Devil Inspired is on my list because OHH MY GOD I DIDN'T KNOW THE SOUFFLE SONG MUCHA PRINT IS CUSTOM SIZEABLE AAAAAAAAAA HOLY SHIT AAAA). lolitawardrobe's shipping might be more reasonable but unfortunately a lot of it is that they are leery about lesser shipping options in terms of missing tracking and so forth...

@polychrome if you fit into lolita 'straight sizes' (i don't, i'm never going to fit into them lmao, i'm 5'8, over 300 lbs, and have the bone structure of a brick shithouse. absolutely no japanese designer is gonna make shit that fits me off the rack), there's also lacemarket! that's the really big second-hand market for lolita fashion. not everything is going to be cheaper second-hand - some use brand as 'investment pieces'. but you can also get some serious steals, friends tell me!

@polychrome oh man i've just now seen this and i'm late to the party BUT

have you looked into taobao resellers? taobao brands are like... 'chinese indie' but gaining more and more popularity. not the same exact snob appeal as BTSSB or Angelic Pretty, but more variety, and MUCH more reasonable prices, as well as a lot more of them willing to take custom size orders!

lolitawardrobe and Devil Inspired are too really good taobao resellers to check out!

i forgot to take pictures but today i went to physical therapy in (no petticoat, but still)

i feel this is an extremely on-brand moment for someone who owns the domain 'sweetdisabled.com'

a good thought: darth vader constantly referring to luke with various griffin mcelroy style epithets

"wanna rule the universe together, my sweet baby boy?"

(luke yeets himself into the cloud city depths)

"WHERE'S MY BOY"

youtube.com/watch?v=zYZl_YOMg7

luke: it's cringey though dad. you need a better fursona. i mean... black krayt dragon? that's such an edgelord move

vader: son

vader: have you even fucking seen a picture of me for 2 seconds my beautiful child?

vader: i am not an edgelord

vader: i am **THE** EDGELORD.

lads i just realized that a Very Important Chapter in my overwrought star wars fanfiction can basically be summarized as Luke Skywalker saying "you know you're right dad, i can't go quietly into that good night just yet. ......................i gotta stick around so i can help you redesign your fursona IT'S SO FUCKING CRINGEY"
