Incidentally, this started because Dolphin versions newer than 5.0-17260 break. If anyone knows whether 5.0-16264 and newer made changes that would cause Server 2016 (which is, again, based off W10 build 1607] to not play nice with it, do let me know so I can bite that bullet sooner rather than later.
So, my options are to either keep banging my head against this wall until I can confirm or deny what's going on or to just bite the bullet and switch to running Tiny10 even though having to reinstall and resetup everything would be a massive pain in the ass. Great.
Sorry, I'm running Windows 10. Why does your app not like it? It'd be nice if I knew whether technically being on build 1607 was the reason, but here we are. You won't tell me. Thanks.
I'm currently banging my head against a wall trying to figure out why some programs crash on launching. I suspect it's that I'm running Windows Server 2016 (based on the really old Windows 10 build 1607), but I'd rather not switch to Tiny10 because that's what we in the business call "a massive pain in the ass". But I can't confirm or deny that that's the reason because everyone just says the minimum requirement is "Windows 10 or higher".
I am so fucking tired of everyone and their mother deciding that reinventing pure and simple HTML in fucking supercomputer-needing slow as script JavaShit is somehow the better future of the World Wide Web.
YOUR WEBSITE IS NOT THE ONLY APPLICATION I NEED TO RUN AT A SINGLE TIME! YOUR WEBSITE SHOULDN'T EVEN **BE** A FUCKING APPLICATION JUST TO SHOW SIMPLE TEXT, YOU TECHBRO-ADMIRING DUMBASSES!

If you are horrified by the Web Environment Integrity proposal by Google (#DRM for ads), stop using Chrome and switch to Firefox and block ads everywhere.
The only eyeballs left for Google to show ads are the ones protected by ad blockers. Thatβs the highest growth opportunity they have, and we cannot let them have it.
So, here's a thought. The cars in Daytona USA are pretty boxy. Do you think they were trying to work off the gen 4 NASCAR cars and just ended up hitting hardware limitations, or do you think they ended up deciding to work off the gen 3 cars, since those were pretty boxy anyways? Like, I'm legitimately curious. The cars in game are much closer to, say, Rob Moroso's #20 oldsmobile from 1990 than to, say, Michael Waltrip's #20 pontiac from 1994, the year of the game's release.
You may have seen or heard the news about @dolphin / Valve / Nintendo from a few hours ago. If not, read e.g. https://www.pcgamer.com/nintendo-sends-valve-dmca-notice-to-block-steam-release-of-wii-emulator-dolphin/ from the amazing @wes.
Unfortunately pretty much everyone has been getting the legal details wrong, incl. Dolphin themselves on their blog (now fixed).
