rpg theory controversy
@Fenreliania (it's important to note that GNS theory is widely considered to be not good enough, and the author is kind of elitist towards people who prefer more mechanically dense games)
@Fenreliania I think video games need something similar to GNS theory in roleplaying game design:
Players fall somewhere between these 3 categories:
* Gamist :: Interested primarily in mechanical challenges
* Narrativist :: Interested primarily in creating a story
* Simulationist :: Interested in simulating a word/situation and seeing what happens
These categories don't work for videogames, but having something like this would be very useful
@Fenreliania I agree with you – it's something that makes it hard to navigate itch, and it's quite confusing when you have a very arcade-y game mixed in with a bunch of artsy stuff

DurgyDoodleCember 1
So I thought it'd be a cute thing to try and doodle a dragon for @addi (who I 💜) every day of December. I don't know if it will happen (or of I'll be able to when I go on holiday later in the month) but I can try~
They'll be generally not all that much effort though. :P
(I know a few other dragons too, maybe they'll show up. :3)
Today's isn't actually made on the first of December, but rather about 10 mins after midnight. That's also why I chose for a sleeping durg.
@LottieVixen why not set up a fullscreen VM of Xubuntu/mint or something?
Well it is done now, here is the building just before I added the final (and actually usable) thing into the middle of the centre. :3
re: there are two doors, and two guards. one door leads where you want to go, the other leads to where you Do Not want to go. one of the guards always tells the truth, one always lies. what question should you ask to go through the correct door, that isn't the usual solution to this riddle?
@chao but isn't the point of the riddle that you can only ask *one* of the guards your question?

@chao won't the lying person tell you an answer that will cause you to go through the wrong door?
