@gemlog I don't have any kind of menus, I'm running a bare window manager with no desktop environment

@gemlog ok so I've found the problem: everything's installed correctly, but Xorg is using the integrated graphics drviers. How do I set it to use the amd ones instead?

@snaums lspci doesn't exist on my system for some reason, but dmesg shows positive results for both radeon and amdgpu

when I run stuff in wine, it can only detect my integrated card

@loki because I tried sabayon and hated it so I wanted to just patch it into something better, so I partially converted it to gentoo - but half of the gentoo packages don't compile properly on sabayon

so then I installed the nix package manager on top

at some point I'm gonna just go back to my old nixos install, because I've been distro hopping for months and nothing is anywhere near as good as nixos

@loki um..... that's actually not that easy to answer

it *was* sabayon, but then I replaced bits of it with gentoo, and then I installed parts of nixos on top of that
