criticizing the "x queer culture is" jokes
if twitter doesn't work for you or whatever, essentially the point is when you say "trans girl culture is" and then something that's actually a very specific subculture you're a part of, you alienate a lot of people.
"trans girl culture is buying collars and being kinky" or "trans girls are great programmers" or whatever else. You're not actually speaking for trans girls, you're speaking for your clique of trans girls and alienating the rest.
cis people, copy pasted from someone else
Cis identity is pretty wild when you think about it. Some person who didn't even know you looked at your junk when you were a baby and was like "I declare you this for life" and most of us are just like, “sure, that's fine."
And then when other people are like, “wait actually no, not defined by my junk” we have the nerve to be like NO THIS ARBITRARY DECISION MADE WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT AT A TIME WHEN YOU WERE PHYSICALLY INCAPABLE OF SPEAKING AND SEMI-CONSCIOUS AT BEST IS BINDING FOR LIFE GET IT TOGETHER.
Shit’s weird. It’s weird.
red dead redemption
although I wish it was like Saint's Row or Fallout where you can customise the main character
What does it mean to be #queer, anyway? If I'm going to seriously consider adopting it as a label for myself, I need to know what I'm getting into.
Bear in mind that I never quite shook the influence of the middle-school bully who used it as a general-purpose insult.
Also, this is a change, and change is scary.
So, as long as everyone just ✨ slightly ✨ tries to smell you, you should be fine!
