@softgoat although now I've said that the x240 is getting more affordable
basically with thinkpads unless you're buying new then find the model that's 4-6 years old, all the companies that use them tend to be replacing them for new stuff and you can find really good deals on second hand ones
@softgoat if you don't mind second hand I can wholeheartedly recommend the thinkpad x230
@softgoat thinkpad
definitely a thinkpad
You may not be able to nail jelly to a wall, but it seems you can make a kitchen knife out of it
@squirrel morning/afternoon maple!
@cypnk oh, no, wait, they've optimised the packing since I last looked, you can fit six in a shipping container apparently
@cypnk there's a project called the OX from the global vehicle trust which is somewhat similar but far more useful
It's a van, can carry 13 people or 3 pallets or 8 drums, and you can fit 3 of them into a shipping container

@noelle crackin' cheese, winston
@cypnk yep, I think humans can lay claim to anime being a purely human thing
@cypnk according to legend coffee was first discovered after some bloke saw a bunch of birds acting unusually excitedly and he decided to try the same berries they were eating
So, uh, yeah, other creatures may have got to coffee first as well
@codl I know, right?
