@KitRedgrave@glitch.social @sydneyfalk @dredmorbius @zatnosk @squirrel you could go and complain, just drive there in your coupé

@squirrel @zatnosk @dredmorbius maybe you should take a break and go to a café and think about what you just said

Maybe have an éclair while you're there, you should find it on the à la carte menu

@dredmorbius @zatnosk @squirrel so you want to prevent people from using languages other than english because it might mildly inconvenience someone developing a system

Not to mention the fact that the characters you're complaining about ARE ALSO USED IN ENGLISH

@shekkiesqueaks It's a volunteer effort, so isn't quite as good anywhere there don't happen to be many volunteers

But for the most part it's pretty damn good

meds, drug abuse

What kind of bizarre individual takes diazepam(valium) recreationally?

I have to take it from time to time for anxiety attacks and it always makes me feel like shit for most of the rest of the day

@BatElite It's gaudy for the sake of being gaudy rather than being interesting looking for any technical merit

They just took a watch and slapped a bunch of rocks on it

@codl yep, those are diamonds, the coloured stones are sapphires

Far as I'm concerned sapphire should be used as the crystal and in the movement, not all over the case

It just wouldn't be Baselworld if Rolex didn't release something awful and tacky

Rolex Rainbow Daytona in Everose Gold

@squirrel bloody hell

Sadly I know barely anything about windows these days so I can't be much help

self-deprecating joke

@squirrel *ships self to magic repair squirrelbun*

There's one major problem with the "What is Mastodon?" video

It doesn't feature the true mascot of mastodon, @squirrel

Until my gear gets a couple of scratches and/or dings it just doesn't really feel like it's mine, it feels like I'm borrowing it or something

Show thread

Ah, my watch has a couple of tiny almost impossible to see scratches on the AR coating on the crystal now

I can consider it properly mine now!

Took the best part of 9 months for even that to appear on it and I've been wearing it pretty much every day, Sinn watches are really hard as nails

@celesteh@mastodon.social I'd probably stick to social titles rather than formal ones

@celesteh@mastodon.social also you wouldn't get an upgrade

The people who deal with that sort of thing tend to have a copy of Who's Who handy

@celesteh@mastodon.social Quite possibly a lot of inconvenience at security when your passport doesn't match

Otherwise it isn't illegal so long as you're not using it for fraudulent purposes

@blackle@dev.glitch.social speaking of light speed delay, ibiblio.org/harris/500milemail

one of my favourite stories

Just remembered something that I'm slightly sad isn't still as much of a thing, sampler albums

Used to be that a music label (typically the small indie type) would put out an album with a song or two from all of their artists on

Was a great way to find new bands

@squirrel actually I think I may have just reinvented the sampler album
