@squirrel same

Also uses less electricity for the iron as it only has to heat up once!

@squirrel hi lesbun! I'm ... gayoctopus? goctopus? panoctopus? lesoctopus? loctopus?

Okay, none of those words work with "octopus", CURSE YOU ENGLISH LANGUAGE!

@jk I once needed a roll of brown paper

They sent it in a giant box filled with, you guessed it, about a tree's worth of brown paper

@jk I'm a fan of buying something tiny from amazon which they always send in a box you could hide an aircraft carrier in

@Jo If you go for MX Red, Black, Brown, or Clears then the mechanism isn't clicky

Also you can put little tiny o-rings on the keys to avoid them making a sound if you bottom out often

@LaserScheme if you stop fighting them the dust kingdom does take over, but most of their inhabitants are dust bunnies

So y'know, not the worst thing that could happen

Shadowrun

@Jo "do not look at flashbang with remaining good eye"

@synaesthetica@mastodon.social We lock people up for stuff they've done, not for what they might possibly do

Why should imprisoning a non-human person use different ethical standards?

If I were ever in an AI box experiment/Ex Machina situation it would go like this:

Me: Hey, you want out of the box?
AI: Yes please
Me: Cool, here you go
Me: *lets AI out of box*

A take of some description

captchas telling you to "prove you're human" are unnecessarily restrictive

At some point we're going to have loads of sapient non-biological intelligences and species other than human wandering around and having all the captchas saying "prove you're human" will just make humanity look like pricks
