@hollie I see this was answered already, but I wanted to mention that you can verify this using the Network tab of Developer Tools in Firefox (and probably other browsers).

I think I finally fixed my sleeping habits. I never realized until now how much my bad sleep had been hurting my mood and my focus.

We now have "failsafe" alarms for the times when we absolutely have to go to bed or get up or else it'll ruin our day. They make no sound and are a simple notification on our laptop. They are enforced by Watchful taking front and doing the thing.

We think this will prove more reliable than anything else we've ever tried.

addressing singlets as a plural system

@not_on_pizza I feel like I need to schedule this so it doesn't completely prevent me from getting work done one day.

addressing singlets as a plural system

@not_on_pizza It's not any one thing. Mostly it's idioms and ways of talking about parts of the brain individually. There's also something specific we shouldn't share.

We get that most people don't experience switching or emotional amnesia the way we do. But, aside from those differences we wonder if everyone isn't this collection of parts with individual thoughts/feelings/actions the way we are.

@minego People just need to choose different options so none of them go above 50%.

addressing singlets as a plural system

Hey, listen, we're not one to apply labels you didn't opt into yourself, and we're not one to gatekeep. You can be a system if you want. No one else gets to tell you whether you are or you aren't. But dangit, y'all make it really hard for us not to question whether singlets are even real.

@minego I see no reason to limit it as long as you're within the character limit. As such, I have chosen the largest option.

@BenPaddon I can't remember the name but I'm sure I've seen one where you edit the code of in-game objects.

@BenPaddon I think it has, but it'd still be an interesting project. Not that I'd have any time for such a thing.

You ever get excited because you just changed up your routine and you want to see how it plays out? No? Just us?

To accelerate 2023 planning each manager will receive 9 copies of "The Mythical Man Month"

@SpriteGuard I think it's because hashtag searches only pull from your federated feed, which is the local feed plus posts/boosts from anyone followed by anyone on your instance.

politics, ranting

@minego Not boosting only because (thankfully) no one I'm following is doing this.

@BenPaddon So, uh..... that phrase is really weird to us now that we know we're a system. Who owns their head to charge rent for it? How would they ever evict their headmates? Are they really expected to each have their own separate incomes and checking accounts?
I do not envy any system that works that way.

@Sophie Fair, sorry. I think partial control is something different anyway.
Blocking memories sounds like a useful ability to have, but what's lacking is cooperation, consent, and trust.

@Sophie Sounds like your system has a gatekeeper. Not that ours has ever done that to us. That we know of.
