I Want the Old Internet Back

Hi, all. It’s been two years since my last post here, and the mainstream corporate–owned Internet sucks now. It’s ruining everything. I can’t even read the news anymore without disabling JavaScript. Even the current hitstun.net is now throwing nagging visitors to log in to Tumblr. I’d like to make a new web site at hitstun.net in PHP, free of intrusive scripts, cookies, and tracking. Msx2plus’s site is a great example. Wiby is a search engine that only indexes sites like that.

These days, I’m mostly active on PieFed, but my family and friends didn’t follow me there. I’ve switched from Android to /e/OS, from Firefox to LibreWolf, from Chrome to Cromite, from Reddit to Mbin to PieFed, from Twitter to Mastodon to Sharkey, from Authy to Ente Auth, and from Facebook to nothing. I wish Twitch and YouTube had some decent competition. I’m sure I’m forgetting some changes. Please come find me.
